After hiking along the Fimmvörðuháls and Laugavegur trek for five days I reached the geothermal areas close to Landmannalaugur in Iceland. The colours and the geology look truly extraterrestrial here. There are some hot springs around with strikingly pretty colours and shapes, just like this one, which almost looks like an eye from above. The main colours of this photograph are red, brown, white, orange and light blue.
