Brimketill is a natural lava rock pool located on the coast of Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. The legend goes that a troll named Oddný used the pool to bathe and wash her clothes during the night. It was only possible for her to do so during the night, because according to icelandic folklore trolls turn into stone, once they get hit by sunlight.
I took this picture on a chilly afternoon in August, when the sea was throwing strong waves against the shore. The main colours are dark and light blue, aqua, white, black and brown which makes it a perfect contrast to light and dark interiors alike.
